Ganagapur is a piligrim centre and an abode of Lord Shri Guru Dattatreya swamiji, who changed the lives of suffering
humanity not only in his generation but also to the succeeding generatons by performing many miracles. Lord Dattatreya who
is termed to be “TRIMOORTHI RIJPA” i.e., the three faces, the incarnations of Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu and Lord Maheshwara,
the three great unities of spiritual power. This holy place is also connected to Styi Nrushimha Saraswati Swami who is the second
incarnation of Lord Dattatreya. The Spiritual importance of this sacred spotcan be bestseen in ‘Shree Guru Charitra’ of Shri Guru.
The great darshaneeya kshetra Ganagapur of Grnataka of Deccan India stands on the banks of the river Bhima of
Afzalpur taluka of Kalburgi district. The meeting of the two sacred rivers Bhima and Amaraja at Sangam’ is an extremely holy and
the devotees from every nook and corner of the country take ‘Pilgrimage’ to take holy bath by dipping into the water of Sangam
and perform many religious rituals to seek salvation (Moksha) and worship with great devotion. Whoever takes holy bath here,
is free from their sins, human bondage and sufferings and ultimately seek peace, prosperity and happiness in life.
There is a temple in Sangam where Narasimha Saraswat swamy performed Anusthana, the deep rooted meditation to
attain god. Even today, we see SHELLA & PADUKAS ofswamiji are seen here. This Nirguna matha is adored with Nirguna Padukas.
